Year 13 Student Finance and Responding to Offers

We know from speaking to students that one of the main reasons they may choose not to go to University is the cost. We are committed to providing transparent information about students’ expenses whilst studying.

In this workshop, we use scenarios to break down the gap between maintenance loan and expected living costs, providing realistic solutions for meeting this gap.

Our aim is for students, and low-income students in particular, to leave this session confident that they know how they can support themselves at University.

In the second part of the session, we teach students how to evaluate and respond to offers they have received.

This workshop typically runs in the Spring term, when Student Finance applications are open, and year 13 Students are holding University offers.
